These terms are between you and RightsTech Ltd, the company behind Trailpost. By creating an account or using a follower page you agree to them. They are governed by the law of England and Wales.
What Trailpost is, and is not
Trailpost shows your progress along a planned route to people you share a link with. It is not a safety, tracking, emergency or rescue service, and you must not rely on it as one. Check-ins and position updates depend on your phone, its battery and its signal; they may be late or may not arrive, and we do not monitor them. If you are in difficulty, contact the emergency services directly. For remote routes, carry a satellite messenger.
Your account
You must be 16 or over. You are responsible for the content you post and for the people you share your link with. You must not post content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that shows another person's location without their consent.
Your content
You own your routes, posts and photos. You give us the licence we need to store them and show them to the people you share your link with, and, if you choose to list a finished trail in the public gallery, to anyone. You can withdraw that by deleting the trail.
Paying for Plus
Plus is a one-off payment per trail, shown on the pricing page and including VAT where it applies. You have 14 days to change your mind unless the trail has gone live in that time.
Ending things
You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time from settings. We may close accounts that break these terms. We may change or stop parts of the service with reasonable notice.
Liability
We provide Trailpost with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability where the law does not allow it. Beyond that, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the service, including any failure of a check-in, a page update or a message to arrive, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the last 12 months.
